Shouldn’t the vast number of competitors drive down the price for sunglasses? You would think so, its basic economics, right?!... With sunglasses, you really have 2 options, the “high end” sunglasses (these would be your well-known brands and designer sunglasses). The second option would be your more “affordable” brands (the budget brands offering lifetime warranty replacements, but at a steep price). It's no secret that sunglasses are flat out expensive! It is easy to spend $200 to $300 dollars on a designer pair of sunglasses? But what makes these sunglasses so special? Materials? They tend to be plastic. Designs? Typical, run of the mill designs. Appeal? Only if you have hundreds of dollars to spend! So what about other affordable brands? Well, they have their drawbacks, too. While they are affordable in price, you typically get what you pay for! These "affordable" sunglasses tend to be made from cheap plastic,flimsy in quality and build, and will end up costing just as much, if not more, than designer sunglasses simply by how often they will need to be replaced!
